Create a Winning E-mail
Signature
by Rena Larrañaga
Feb. 9, 2002
Your e-mail signature can be
a "virtual business card," informing potential clients
about your business. Don't miss the opportunity to let everyone
know what you do.
- Keep your signature to less
than six lines.
- Include your name, company
name, web address and any methods your customers can use to reach
you (phone, fax, etc.)
- Include a link to free information
on your website, or an autoresponder address to request more
info about your business.
- Keep it professional. You
may include your business' slogan, but shy away from quotes of
your favorite author.
- Depending on your e-mail program,
you may be able to design different signatures to use for different
purposes.
Here is a sample of an effective
e-mail signature.
